hbd nonni!

over the weekend this lady turned 60! so we celebrated for two days!

nori brought over her powerwheels to share with her cousins. since her and olivia are attached at the hip, a one seater became a two seater. oh boy.if you’ve saw nori’s 2yr pics, then you know that her poppi makes her do tricks. yep. just like an animal. she “sits pretty,” he pats her head and gives her a treat. (it’s not right, but it’s pretty comical.) so this time ella made poppi sit pretty for cashews.

cousins are the best.

there were multiple injuries that day.

nori thinks she’s part of the “big girl” club ever since she was (daytime) potty trained. “i wear big girl underwears like anna and ella!”

poppi thought it was funny to force have anna photobomb.

by the way, they’re celebrating 35yrs together this year. impressive.

this surprisingly only took 5 shots. (and a dangling sweedish fish) i love it.and just because they’re special…

poppi loves dessert. he HAS to have it after dinner and loves to bribe all the kids with the “special surprise” he has each time.

they love to make these microwaveable cakes, lick the spoons, then one by one take a bite.

we are so happy nonni had a great birthday. it was still an emotional weekend, but we got through it together, which i suppose is the only way.

happy bday ma. you are a wonderful mom and grandma, it’s clear to everyone who knows you. we are more than blessed to have you in our lives. all the kids adore you and they couldn’t have asked for a more loving grandma. thanks for everything you do, have done, and continue to (literally break your back) doing for all of us. though it sometimes seems like we do, we never take you for granted.  most would kill to have such involved parents in their lives. we love you. heart, mel monkey.
