The Pace Circus!
So it’s been an obvious costume since I started calling us the Pace Circus the day I delivered the twins. Last year we did Alice in Wonderland because
the babies were chubby and bald and it was perfect. But I’ve been excited about this year for 2 yrs now. Adam, however, took some hardcore convincing
because he couldn’t see my vision and thought it was so boring. Goedkoop Nike Air Max We had original ideas and they changed along the way because it just made sense. Like duh,
Adam is a sweet sword swallower with those muscles and bald head! (Strong man would be too obvious or cliche.) I wanted a dark old school traveling circus
style. adidas nmd męskie Of course, you’ll find the black and white stripes throughout because we are always inspired by Tim Burton. It’s so nice having the graphic
designer hub. I work hard on our 5 costumes, then he makes the finished product beautiful.
I had to show the tails and the cool head tats! Also, I had everything pictured here. Even the staff was recycled from Willy Wonka.
His face says “freak” and his knuckles say “side show”. 🙂 Adam owns a bunch of swords too because he was into that back in the day. New Balance 1500 damskie Don’t ask.
I wanted to include the full babies because those chucks are adorbs.
We barely bought anything this year. Nico had his tux and I just used old fabric to make a pocket/pocket square and patches. Such cheap costumes this year!!
Basically what behind the scenes looks like. “Like why can’t you just stand there. You don’t even have to smile!”
Our first Good Will run was a great success and also a 50% off Saturday! Holler! Plus the cashier loved us and gave us another 20% off so
we got most of Nori’s costume, my blazer, and the striped sweater for $8.
Nori’s outfit consisted of two women’s dresses, some scarves and Aunt Ali’s belly dancer shawl thingy majig.
The accessories to my jacket were left overs from last years Queen of Hearts! WIN.
I added the feathers from a boa to make it more high fashion/couture to match my wig that I was later going to rat the hell out of.
Adam was originally going to be a clown but well, that had to change because I didn’t want him to get shot this Halloween. So I kept his Goodwill pants
and used the fabric to HAND SEW (broken machine!) the babies pants using their skinny jeans as my pattern. I was going to add the elastic waist but
since we were going for the old school gothic circus, the unfinished edge was more appropriate.
My friend Jenny let Adam borrow her leggings. HA! I know it’s confusing because he has big muscles, but he has chicken legs. My size 6 skinny
jeans are baggy on him. air max 90 damskie pomara czowe ::eye roll:: He had the vest and bought a bunch of cheap tats.
Trial run makeup and Adam was starting his tat application.
On Sunday it took us 2 hrs to apply all of them!! I had fun designing the layout with him.
We always go to the nursing home where we are the big hit. I love that they remember us every year too! I wanted to take a selfie with grandma because
she’s 98 and you just never know if she will see next Halloween. I asked her to smile, she did this because I think she was squinting to see our faces.
Whatever, I just mimicked her. Bahaha.
Usually we have 100% participation but this year we had some slackers. And Britt is actually dressed up. She’s a throwback of 1998 Brittany. Sac À Dos Kånken Fjällräven 🙂 So fun!
Forever and always a tradition. This year the adults, besides Nonni, were kicked out of kitchen.
