Rachel & Mollie!

I went to high school with Rachel and am now neighbors with her brother, which recently brought her back into my life. 💞She messaged me a month ago and said, “How do you feel about doing a spontaneous and surprise wedding on Pride day for Mollie and I?” I already had to shoot that same night BUT this was earlier in evening so I could totally make it work. Bonus was, I got to dress up which is so much more exciting than the normal black dress with rainbow shoes (because I just can’t be solid black) I normally shoot weddings in! They planned it out and had me show up just before they told the kids!

They had everyone come under the guise of a pool party post Pride parade, and they wanted to keep the super casual vibe! They each added an accessory then the kids went out and announced to their family what was about to happen!

Rachel’s mom fist pumping with excitement! 😆

Some kids stayed playing in the pool and their swimming was louder than the mic, which had them looking back laughing because it was exactly the casualness they expected.

Both their brothers were the ministers. For having no idea what you were doing, you both did a great job!

Grandpa and Kolly with the same pose. 🤣

They kissed, it was over and Calliope turned and jumped back in.

😍😍😍

I can officially say I’ve shot a ‘no pants necessary’ wedding! 🤣

They eventually were (accidentally) bound tight together!😆

😍

Rachel said, “Imma pick you up!”  Then swooped her up like heyyyyy🤣

The best.

The rainbows all around made my heart sing. Anyone that knows me, knows I live for rainbows.🌈

Mom checking out the ring!🤣

Brothers proudly shaking on, “we’re the best.”

I’m so glad this all worked out for you girls! I’ve only done a few surprise weddings but this will be one to remember! Congrats on the “officialness” of your already well established life together. 😆 Your love is beautiful.

Heart, Melanie

I texted Greg to see how dressed up everyone still was before going. He said “not much,” so I had to tame it down from what I describe as “dressing up.” Still fun though, definitely never worn a wig to a wedding!
