Brendan.

To say this is one of my favorite senior sessions is an understatement. I never go in with expectations unless I already know the kid. I did just shoot Brendan’s family/older brother a handful of months ago but Brendan didn’t ‘let me in’ that night. This night, though, he was fully himself.

We started off a little chill, waiting for him to relax and get over the usual awkwardness but he still followed instructions with such ease.

It took a minute to balance, which that was hysterical as it looks like he’s trying to ollie on the hydrant but was really just trying to stop moving and laughing.

“Your eyes are so blue, but I’m annoyed because I can’t see them.” “I got you.” 🤣🤣🤣 “Ya thanks, I can see them now and you don’t look crazy at all.”

“Just walk through the alley as you normally would. “🤣😭

Melanie (Mama) said, you should do a few in your beater tank because that’s really your every day uniform. So glad we did because 😍

My 13yo daughter saw this and like a cartoon, her eyes became huge hearts and bulged out of her face. 😍

When loving on your mother quite literally takes her breath away! 🫣

He jokingly invited Dad to join him, but really I think he knew his Dad would absolutely scale the wall with him, while I was left with my jaw on the ground like, hell ya, Dad! Did NOT expect that!

Generally boys struggle with being too rigid. This guy was like Gumby, zero problems with falling into the poses. Body language makes alllll the difference in an image!

I’ve asked a thousand clients to walk towards me. Not once has someone crip walked.  The best.

I couldn’t believe how the last bit of the session went so perfectly. The sun has been barely around summer nights with all the haze happening. But it popped out as we were winding down and I could see a few parking lots away that I had more of a chance of using it. So we chased the light!

Yes. Yes. Yes. Was I shooting senior pics or for a skating brand? Maybe you should send these to the these brands and get signed with them. 🥰

Dad takes a lot of physical abuse from his sons. I thought JJ having him in a headlock was rough, but with little agreement or warning, throwing your grown ass man self on someone’s shoulderssss!?!! ☠️ That’s some stable strength, Dad!!

Y’alls gene pool is full of fun and expression. I had so much fun laughing and goofing off. SO refreshing. I always face a bit of anxiety going into guy sessions because I’m often met with annoyance that they’re forced there by their moms. Finding real character in clients isn’t always easy, but it was with you! Thanks for being the real authentic you!! I’d imagine being vulnerable with a stranger as a young man wasn’t easy, but I’d never know! If I wouldn’t have had a hard out time for carpool, I would have shot you until it was pitch black. I appreciate you, brah.
