A few weeks ago the circus went on the road, well the unlucky ones did, some of us went in the air, to HHI. We were
supposed to shoot a wedding there but were stuck with the bill when the bride cancelled the wedding a couple months
prior. So we found the silver lining and made the best of a crappy situation. We had non refundable plane tickets, so
Adam and I flew down with the babes on our laps. They did great! The bigs, Rachel and Chase left after the dance
recital and drove through the night and met us at the airport in the early am. We all had only a few hours sleep, so
being greeted with a monsoon, was a great day to nap! Thankfully, the rest of the trip was beautiful weather!
We got one speedo hand me down and I just had to buy a second. I mean, LOOK AT THEM! <3 Don’t worry, they were
only bare chested for a few pictures. 😉
Adam and Chase played in the waves all day with the bigs. Throwing them with the waves and having a ball.
At first they had no idea what to think of the soft sand between their toes and the waves coming and going. It only
took a few minutes till they plopped down and started digging and throwing sand. Shockingly, no eating it!
Daddy will never grow up.
SO happy. All the water play made them super tired. I enjoyed that. 🙂
We planned sunset pics in Harbor Town. Obvs I was going to capture the sweet young love of Chasey and Rachey.
You two make me happy.
I love these!
Don’t be fooled with our perfectly photogenic happy family. It wasn’t that easy. You’ll see.
Thanks for these Rachey! We celebrate 9 years in a few months. 🙂 Loving him is so easy.
Since NoJo was the only cooperative child for longer that 1/16 of a second, she posed for me. My girl and I have to hang
together with all these smelly boys in our house.
Dang clouds covered up my light! Boo. Whatever, you guys are still adorable.
The rest are just off our phones or Adam’s pocket Sony. We took a nice little 4+mi bike ride during a nap time. Was
really wonderful until Adam made us ride against the headwinds the last 2miles. 😐
Dude. I’m telling you what, beach carts are where it’s at!! I don’t have a clue how we would have survived the trip
without this. This picture doesn’t even show half of what we carted around so that we had open arms to deal with all
the uncooperative kiddies. Going on a trip? Find one to borrow or buy one. You’ll thank me later.
This was just off our balcony. Having a first floor condo was key. We brought our monitors and were able to sit
outside and play with the big kids in the pool while the babies slept. That’s always the worst part of vacations with
small kids, having to pause midday for naps!
We went to Sea Pines at sunset for some evening entertainment.
It sure was nice to slow down with the family and soak up these fleeting moments.
Little bit of selfie roo action.
This is what I was referring too. The sunset was quick, especially with the clouds. The kids, well, hmmph. This is how
most family sessions typically go, our family included. Never ever feel bad when your kids are tantruming in front of
my lens. It’s ma life, y’all.
I just wanted a shot of all four kids alone in the yummyy light. And both attempts were super successful. As you can tell
from Adam’s face, “This isn’t working. Can we be done with this?” Bahaha.
Have a great Holiday weekend, friends! Heart, Melanie.
