Have you ever seen a FULL traditional wedding planned and executed in less than 2mths? Me either. 🤣 Engaged in April, planned May and June annnnd married July 5. I’ve known Kristen my whole life and was so happy when she inquired after seeing her engagement but my jaw about dropped when she said she was doing the whole 9 yards, on a Wednesday just a handful of weeks away. 😳

Getting married when you’re older means that all the groomsmen understand life in an entirely different way than when they were in their early 20s. I walked into what could be described as “my 6 dads”. Most, if not all, are Dads and fully understood the assignment of a baby’s needs. All hands on deck and it was adorbs.

The ceremony was at SUA, Kristen’s Alma Mater. Can’t shoot a wedding at the chapel without using the roped off “parlor.” The rooms are full of antiques but don’t have a lot of natural light. I always hang close to windows cause dreammmmy.😍

The reception was at the Monastery and up in Mt Adams is where they met, dated and got engaged! The proposal happened at the top of the Immaculata steps and while I was taking a few portraits Greg dropped down like, “it was right in this spot, like this!!”

Not every wedding does the bride have to parent their toddler plus greet and thank guests too! Cousin Holly, (gorgeous girl laughing) doubled as Kristen’s hair stylist and baby whisperer. (Along with a whole slew of other cousins, friends and siblings to lend a hand that night!)

I’m not gonna lie, I really thought there would be no one on the dance floor as it was a work night, but it was still full!

Wives just trying to have a nice slow dance and the husbands are busy bumping and grinding. 🫣

There was still some light as we were leaving, so they got some fresh air and walked us out!

Well I truly can’t believe you pulled all that off. WELL.DONE. And you still have so much more excitement coming just around the corner! Well, hopefully not too soon, 2 more months. Ignore Kyle, and go for MY bday, not his, 9/11! I hope all that goes smoothly but hope you can live on this high the next couple months! Congrats on all fronts! Heart, Melanie & Adam.
