On our flight home from SoCal, I was trying to process my thoughts on such a jam packed fun trip. It occurred to me that 20yrs ago, nearly to the day, I met these handsome Marks. Well, the little older one not long after. Markie was my first friend in college! . Overwhelmed walking in on Monday 8a Psych 101 class, I chose a desk next to the smiley cute guy. 🤷🏼‍♀️We were fast friends with the same exact sense of humor. Shortly, I found out he was in the art department too and ironically close friends with all the guys who I’d soon spend all my time with over the next 4 yrs. Oh, and my future husband. 😍 Rewind time to end of Aug 2001 and tell me we’d still be close friends AND I’d be traveling to Cali with A.Pace to shoot his wedding…”I’M ALL IN!!”

Because we were 80minutes over schedule leaving the chapel, that meant we had exactly negative 40min for portraits. AGAIN! Gah! Even though we mapped out a quick spot for pics since it was over 100º, I had a team of planners asking me to be done, before we’d even started. 😭😭 We exited the bus to the right, stepped onto the sidewalk directly in front of the venue and I did the best I could in under 5min while Adam parked the car. 🥴

This was a legit, just huddle up and smile, y’all!! Good work, crew!

I sighed a little relief that the room we got pushed into while reception hall was being seated for entrances, had good light!

You know how at theme parks in the holding areas, the characters entertain you on the screen while you wait for the attraction? That was them. Pre recorded to look and sound like it was happening live upstairs as they charmed us with their contagious happiness.

Thanks to Linda Krumme and her career of dancing with the help of sister, Christine…adorably choreographed goodness. Impossible not to be delighted all the way through.

Rathyna’s mom was so sweet and shy. I think the only time I heard her talk was during her speech! Just quietly working non stop in the background!

When we heard Markie was fiiiiinally dating someone, we immediately needed to see picture proof. Adam pulled up this CAR GIRL’S instagram! Excuse me, what?? No way. You guys don’t understand, and that’s exactly what our friend Paco is saying here. Mark has always been single because he’s had the stupidest expectations. Like the bar was ceiling high. He expected a 10 in all characteristics of this fantasy female. (Rightfully deserved as he’s a 10 himself!) But what had us all rolling is that he expected her to be ok with his car obsession. Like, Markie, you’ll be dying a bachelor cause ain’t no woman gonna let you put your cars first. ::Rathyna enters the chat:: He actually found someone who runs an entire drift league?! Who is famous in the car world! Who has MORE cars than him! 😳 HE HELD OUT AND HE WAS BLESSED WITH QUITE LITERALLY THE BEST FOR HIM!!! Annnnd this is why we all couldn’t stop crying all dang weekend. So.stinkin.happy.Theyre so stinkin happy. Paco is like, look at this girl. HE DID IT! And impressively, she’s still managed to exceed those ridiculous expectations!

We were in such a tizzy that we never got to do portraits reflecting THEM. Just their over the top goofy personalities always prepared to entertain a crowd or camera on a tripod for their you tube channel. I said to Markie, just be you for a few frames. 😍

The day started before dawn and ended by dinner!

Wow, friends. I apologize for already saying so much, but bear with me. Continue to radiate this joy forever and you’ll never have anything but happiness surrounding you. We are all so thankful to have had so much fun over that week, especially meeting your friends and family out there! I truly think this wedding meant so much to all of us because back 10-15 years ago when we all were marrying off, we were young, rushing through the motions and didn’t know what we know now. Remember when it was just the 3 of us in that suite and I was mumbling through tears about how fast time goes and to just pause and take a deep breath, the day will be over so fast. Ya that. UGH. Feel it now, already 2wks later!? We sense time fleeting so deeply now and we want you to truly savor all these moments while you can! If we’ve gained wisdom on anything with age, it’s that we aren’t invincible like once believed. Now that you’ve started this new chapter, it only speeds up from here. 😭Hang on tight, it’s going to be a wonderful ride!

You were great hosts, even through the precautions of the pandemic! I’m thrilled for you that it all played out seamlessly, but incredibly sad it’s come and gone. Not sure when we will all be back together again, ahemmMaybeAnotherCaliWedding, but looking forward to it! Thanks for being so wicked cool and trusting us to document for you! 😍 Though portrait time was rushed, I’m glad we got *some* and copious candid moments!
