For a long time, ok like every single time, they’re sleeping, I’ve wanted to take pictures of them. One baby sleeping is sweet, but TWO is just
sweeter than sweet. How they’ve always gravitated to each other is perfection. So for a solid month we were sweating it out upstairs because I
was too cheap to have the air fixed. Downstairs was fine and so long as the kids were all able to sleep in the 88′ heat, Adam and I sucked it up. :0
It gave me a perfect opportunity to get the babies naked and put them to sleep on my bed where I could work around them and see the chub!
They always fall asleep holding hands while nursing and I just sit there and stare at them. Twins are so cool.
Arm fat and neck rolls.
When asleep there’s really no telling them apart. But I do know Ezra is on the right. 😉
Mama has been working very hard on those beach bods. Nursing twins really is hard work and completely unlike nursing one. Not to
mention Ari has destroyed my right side. Having lots of complications I’ve been trying to work through for the last couple months. :-/ But I won’t
give up. So long as I can keep producing 11-14oz (!!) every few hours, no matter how much it hurts or inconvenient it often feels, I’ll keep trucking.
Besides the obvious benefits for babies, I want to do it for the gals that can’t. The ones who try everything possible and it just doesn’t work. I just
feel like, if I can, then I should. Probably, I just sound crazy.
So after a few minutes of working around them, I decided to slowly flip Ari over to get some back sleeping shots. Well. They hate their
backs. The second his back hit the sheets, he opened his eyes. He had only been asleep maaaaybe, 8 min. They were super tired, so I thought
I could get him back to sleep with a little work. Nope. He made eye contact with me and was like, “MOOOOOOMMY!!!” All smiles. I
rolled him back over and he shot up like this. Total fail. But whatever, I went with it.
I tried one last time to put him on his belly to sleep…nope. They’re basically obsessed with me, so it was over. But I’m not mad about his cute
smiling face.
He loves his pointer fingers.
Ezra still has blue toes because Adam and I are still the only ones who know them apart. Some family are getting close though!
Ezra eventually woke up and naptime was officially over.
Hey MOM! You’re the best! If you ever need to feel loved, just have twins. They way the never take their eyes off me, and smile when we
make eye contact, I just want to eat them up!!
The last time they were weighed, it was the same. But somehow Ezra’s fat is distributed differently and he has bigger rolls. 🙂
They were both talking to me. 🙂
Always finding each other’s hands or feet. The cutest.
Things have been well, minus the fact they suck at staying asleep. They put themselves to sleep in 5seconds at first but then the second they
stir, they flip to their backs and get pissed. They don’t often roll back to belly, and being super tired, they just fuss till I flip them. Or
even worse, they become wide awake and happy. About half the time they wake the other. But usually the one who stays asleep waits 10-15
min and theeeen flips so I have to get up as soon as I’m almost back to sleep. :-/ I swear on my life that they tag team me. I’ve been tallying
how many times I get up to flip them back over… Twelve- sixteen times from 10pish- 8a on average. Hmmph. I experimented last night by
putting them in their own cribs and that was just as big of a fail because they have more room to roll around. At least I only have to nurse them
once a night, though! But they need to figure out the sleeping thing again cause I’mzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
