The Flicks.

Every year I go to the Flicks Farm (their big old house on a nice chunk of land) to shoot their Christmas card. Well, this year I was excited to go somewhere and do something way more ‘them’ than just them at their house. 🤣 If that makes any sense! They spend soooo much time a year camping so it was fitting to capture those wonderful memories!

I love that the kids know what their doing and even after binging The Queens Gambit, unfortunately I still have zero clue about chess. 🤣

This big little Mama’s boy, both subjects refusing to see he’s grown too big for Mama’s lap! What I love about this is that I allowed myself to break my own lighting rules and just go with it. Typically, (which I still did🤣) I’d keep trying to light the subjects faces to make sure it’s not only flattering, but all faces visible. I just kept telling the rising panic inside me, “It’s fine. It’s fine. Just let him cuddle.” And the moment was uninterrupted and just still and quiet. And perfect.😍

We still found the light again. 🥰

Roles are definitely reversed with these two. She’s a wild child and he’s so much calmer, he has fun, just a more controlled fun. 😀

I was trying to get a few shots of Charlie but Lou couldn’t stay away for even 30seconds. I have so many of her because she had lots to offer with her movements.🤣

Let’s talk about Lou casually calling Craig “Puff Daddy.” I’m like, ummmm what? 🤣🤣 Amanda was proud. 😆

After her 35th sucker, she moved to popsicles.

Such a fun little set up for days at a time. Without that AC and shower it would be a hard pass for me, but this was so fun! I’m all in for glamping with all these activities!

Our plan to go onto the lake was foiled by cranky teenagers too close to closing time. LAAAME.

Amanda’s wrist just came out of a cast from a break. The kayaks shifted. They fell, causing Craig to whack her hand. She screamed. Then realized it may have just re-broken. Thankfully once she caught her breath, she was good. All in all, pretty hilarious. (For the rest of us.)

If only I could spend a few hours doing fun things with allll my clients! People always say, “I wish you could go on vacation with us to take candids!” Well, this basically felt like that! It was so fun and no stress. Barely any posing, just goofing around in their favorite element! So thankful the weather was as wonderful as the company! Thanks for bringing me on your adventure!
