A quick trip to Seattle last week and we got the snow we hoped for!! Leading up to the trip, rain here and there non stop. In fact, I was worried it was going to be a complete wash out with the forecast. My plane was cancelled Monday, flying me out Tuesday, which was the only decent weather day of the week. đ SO pleased when the rain turned to off and on snow Wednesday allowing us to still shoot because Thursday it poured, sun up to sun down! Grandpa lookin out for us from above!
They picked me up from the airport and we headed straight to this bridge Jess liked!
The light was long gone but it gave a bit of a moody effect!
We stopped for some delicious Asian food downtown and all the Christmas lights still up had me swooning!
We wanted to head for the mountains but the snow and ice hit their town pretty heavily making it impossible to get up there. IF we did make it to the mountain pass, we sure as shit werenât getting home soooo we played it safe and stayed within a few miles from their house! Just pulled off the road to this gorgeous small field with massive pines!!
This pretty little girl!
Snow fell off and on all day!
Love this.
Naturally, Raegan ate all the snow she could. If you look closely on her tongue, youâll see some dirt pieces too. Bahhahaa.
Different lenses and perspective donât allow you to understand the massiveness of trees out west! AND while they were standing there, we watched this big chunk of branches snap off and fall from the very top!!
HEART EYESSSSSS.
Heh Heh Heh.
This smart little girl has all the personality. The only time she paused talking the few days I was there was when she was asleep. She has so much to say to anyone who is willing to listen. <3
Quite natural throwing form! She get it from her Daddy.
She was launching all the snowballs.
I can hear her inner devil laughing with pride as she nailed her mother!!
Once they were done being cold and wet, we went back home where they put on some actual snow gear and had some good ole backyard fun!
First launch down the hill by herselfâŠ
The neighbors are building a storage house and had to trench out to bury the electric. WELP. Her sled found the gap on the first ride down and while we all saw it happening from a distance, all we could do was yell âohhhh nooooo watch ouuuut!!â Thankfully it didnât scare her and she popped right back up. :0
Over in a blink but so looking forward to the next time Iâll be out!! It was nice to get away from my chaos and into your much calmer and quieter house. Blessed we have the ability to do these things! Sheâs going to do big things in the future, you can tell! You guys are great parents, was fun to watch from the sidelines where I have zero responsibility in the matter. HAHA! Talk soon and thanks for bringing me out!!
Heart, Melanie
