The Nurres {Longboat Key}.

Whenever I post images from our family vacations, people always comment, can’t you just come with us to the beach too? I always say, “Sure!” and finally the Nurres took me up on it! They flew me down to stay a few days in their condo to document their family fun and do an actual extended formal family session on the beach.

Gloomy morning started slow with matching pjs and cards.

I’m so thankful you’re in my life “Brittany purple mat” (when my kids were liiiiittle and I had weekly yoga class at my house, when they referenced a Brittany, they differentiated my sister and this Britt by her purple mat. Literally while I was FaceTiming my kids on this trip they said, I didn’t know you were with BRITTANY PURPLE MAT!!” 🤣 They do actually know you as Brittany Aug now, but that nostalgia was 👌🏻. You look gorgeous, HBD!

These docks were next to the restaurant so I couldn’t pass up the opportunity here!

Lucy doesn’t have time for anyone or anything and the potential of her JUMPING off the dock was legit so Jeff was all, HARD PASS, you go with the boys. I’ll stay on land with the wild one. 🤣

Evening beach play!

I was squatting down getting the one of the boys and turned around to Lillian IN my camera. 🤣

They always talk about this sunset and I’m glad I at least got to see it one of the 3 nights!

Lawson was long in bed before we played on the beach that night so I said, just hang it up and pretend it’s Lawson in your belly and decades from now when our memory isn’t great, we will easily believe that story. 😆

Even later night swims followed by crab hunting. Karen and Kelsey said this was always the best part of their vacations. Since I’ve NEVER experienced it in my life, I was quite interested to see hooooow it could be “SO FUN!!” 😆 I didn’t bring my camera because, PITCH black, but once I saw the cool shadows and lighting from flash lights, I had to take iPhone pics!

You guys. At one point, I couldn’t catch my breath from laughter. THE DADS, William specifically, were SO into it!! Sprinting after these creatures. Running into the ocean to trap them in the nets. Trying to scoop them, everyone screaming as they dropped into the buckets. All of it. It WAS so fun.

I think they caught like 16? Some big hard shells but mostly the smaller white ones, which were SO fast. BUT NOT FASTER THAN US! The release of them scattering everywhere. 😆 I took videos of that as everyone screamed and ran.

Of course William brought a pumping device to pull the ocean water up hill to the mini pool he dug out.

Thank you so much for having me down! I had loads of laughs! Great company, amazing food and beautiful scenery! Not a bad few days! It happened so quick and we were busy, but it was really fun to get to play with the kids for real. I actually got to know their personalities for longer than a session!
