I actually scheduled 6 month photos for the boys on my calendar so I would for real take them. But Mother Nature rained and rained and I
had to keep using the date for reschedules for clients. So how about just under 8 months? :0
Ezra and Nico are BFFs suddenly. The main reason? Ezra laughs at every single obnoxious thing Nico does which is totally a problem for
us. Nico jumps off couch. ::giggles:: Nico dives onto bed on top of babies. ::giggles:: Nico makes loud screeeeching sounds. ::giggles::
Hmmph. He has an audience now and that’s the last thing he needs is encouragement. Oy. But all the times he’s just being sweet and
gentle with them, we love it.
We went to a local park at ideal light time which only gave us about 30 min to shoot. 1. It’s super easy to get all 4 smiling. 2. It’s even
easier doing it in full makeup, in a dress and curled hair. 3. Shooting in 90′ heat is the ideal temperature to keep everyone content and
not fussy at all. Adam and I included.
This happens all the time and it’s hysterical.
Ari was super into the scrunching nose/sniffing sound smile/laugh at this time. You’ll see. Lol.
Ari, on the left, has a longer and more oval face. From what I’m learning, that’s a typical “baby A” head shape. Ezra is rounder in the face
and mostly all of the area below his face. 🙂 That’s the easiest way to tell them apart. Since I don’t rotate boobies, Ezra stays on the super
boob and always gets a solid 1.5-2oz more milk.
That nose crinkle.
After a few minutes of circus acts from Adam, Rachel and I, we decided to do the whole family before the kids were over it. By that point
my makeup was sweat off and my nice curled hair was a fro and we were only 10 minutes into shooting.
Auntie Rachel is the best, bet everyone already knows that. We are so beyond blessed to have her in our lives. My whole family loves
when she’s around, not just the kids. And since she’s Ari’s Godmother, she’s officially family and stuck with us forever! 🙂 I’ve stopped
introducing her as a friend and just cut to the chase and call her my little sister. God knew what he was doing when he brought
her into my life and allowed her to step into the void for Britt and I. <3 We love our Rachey.
Ever since the babies were born, I had a vision of this shot of Adam. YES to finally getting it! My heart is so full and happy. What more
could I ask for??
Poor Rach. :0 I set up the camera and told her where to stand and all she should do is focus on a face and click. But then she had to get
the kids to look, smile and focus with the sun beating into her camera. Shooting into the sun is hard for me and I’m a professional. :0
But she did great! After she says, ” I have no idea how or why you want to do this for a living. That was awful, exhausting and terribly
hard, I had no idea.” HA! And she only shot for like 7 minutes! 😉 To be fair, I’d say the same thing about nursing to her.
This is totally Nico.
They finally became obsessed with someone else in the house. DADDY! And if he is in the room while they’re trying to eat, they’re done.
Once they see or hear him, they smile and follow him around. Which is not frustrating for me at all. Especially when I’m trying to run out
the door to shoot and have only so many minutes to feed.
We played a game and rallied the troops for one more shot while the sun was ideal.
And then I said, “OFF with the shirts!”
Chubby guy, Ezra, is on the right.
And for your viewing pleasure, this is what the other 200 images basically looked like. The left perfectly explains every parent’s mood
during a family session with more than one kid. And the 4 kid’s expressions. Yep.
I’m “special” and like to make every moment of my life as crazy as possible. So daily the bigs shower with me and every other day, the
babies join in their bumbos. In my stand up stall, I get about as wide as my body’s width. But I’m the tallest so I get all the waterrr,
suckas! Anyway. I took a cellphone shot one day of this and decided I needed to do it again for real. And now the quality is much
better for blowing up on their bathroom wall. 🙂
That is all. I hope you enjoyed the cuteness that is our children. 🙂 And thanks Rachey for doing a great job! I’d say come be my assistant,
buuut I need you at home with my kids. Lol.
Heart, Melanie & Adam.
