Mimi and Grandpa Arch have been trying to get us all to the beach together forever and we finally made it work over Spring Break!
These two cuties were so natural in front of the camera.
I realized while processing these that I’ve never shot you guys on the beach before!
We’re going to do this pose until we can’t and at that point I’m willing to bet one of the dragons will throw Nori on their back instead. HA!
Rachel was off the hook this year as Eric got to hold the camera for us! Though, I met those Pace boys in photo class over 20 yrs ago so I SHOULD be able to trust he can compose an image! 😘 Thanks Uncle Eric!!
On the brink of teenage years! 😭 How did we get here so fast? She’s passed up most the women in our family and only a few inches from eye to eye with me. GAHHHHH.
They’ve been growing their hair for a full year now! Ezra is still loving those shaved sides as Ari is growing his man bun. He can get it all up now but the sides fall and become ringlets at his ears which is hysterical. 100% blonde Orthodox Jew vibes. Looking different helps them have their own identity much better now, though often people will say to Ezra things like, “does your sister want one too?” 🥴 Ari just rolls with it!
So pretty, Mimi!
All these ‘half siblings’!🤣😍
😍😍😍
Ezra taking after his Dad and Uncle with the obnoxious fake laugh til it turns real.
It’s wild to imagine this image in 10yrs when they’ll be grown dudes too. 😭
You guys look super hot. 😍
Don’t look a day over 40!
As I’m shooting Mimi and Grandpa Arch, I hear these two laughing behind me. I happened to turn quickly and snap from a distance at the same time as Eric to catch the pic of Adam below. 🤣
Classic A.Pace.
These two have been through SO MUCH since the pandemic started. Arch lost his dad, Mimi lost 2 sisters and her mom and on top of that Arch was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Then a few months later Adam with testicular cancer. Like how much grief, worry and stress can they bear?! Thank God Adam’s was able to be removed while unfortunately Arch’s is inoperable. And while he’s been battling treatments to stabilize the tumor over the last 15mths, it’s since spread to his liver. 🤮 But man, he.is.fighting. It’s been hard for him to see his body drastically changing, but a stranger could never tell the toll it’s taken on his health. On the trip he did so great, barely taking breaks from the craziness! We soaked in all the goodness even through the rainy days and mid 50’s on the beach!🥶 We had so much fun creating all the core memories we could. What a blessing to be able to do that as a family. We hope he has many more memories to create with us in the future. You’re still the beast you’ve always been, just maybe now more mentally than physically, Arch!
We love you all so much! It truly was a drama free relaxing week we all needed! How awesome was it that we finally got decent weather to shoot in?! Thanks for planning it all and even mustering up the energy to cook some of Arch’s personal favorite recipes! Now onto Steph’s wedding next month! Oh and happy Mother’s Day! Heart, Melanie
